Shuli Peles considers it important that this site be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, in accordance with Israel’s Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Act (1998) and its service-accessibility regulations (2013).
This is a translation. The Hebrew version is the operative text and governs in any discrepancy.
Level of accessibility
The site is PARTIALLY conformant with Israeli Standard 5568 at level AA, which is based on the WCAG guidelines. We do not claim full conformance, and the known gaps are set out here in full.
What is accessible
Text contrast across the site has been measured and meets the required threshold, the dial words included · full keyboard navigation: the dial and the language selector have real arrow buttons in the tab order · correct heading structure and form labels · alternative text on content images · a visible focus indicator · full support for the operating system’s "reduce motion" preference: every animated component is replaced by a static layout when it is on, including the dial on the homepage and the language selector.
The accessibility panel
The button in the lower corner of the screen opens your own settings: text size (100%–150%), high contrast, stop motion, a readable font, highlighted links and a large cursor. Your choice is remembered in your browser between visits. The panel does not turn an inaccessible site into an accessible one, and the gaps listed below still stand — it lets you fit the site to yourself.
Turning the dial
The dial on the homepage and the language selector are operable with a mouse (arrows on either side), with a keyboard (Tab to the arrows, then the arrow keys), and with a wheel. Every destination is also an ordinary link that works without any turning at all.
What is not, yet
- Professional audit. The site has not been examined by a certified accessibility auditor and has not been tested with a screen reader. Such a test is planned before launch.
